NishaNet Setup Instructions
(For Win95 & Win98 & WinME)

1. Double click the MY COMPUTER icon.
2. Double click the DIAL UP NETWORKING icon. (If the setup program does not automatically open, double click on the MAKE NEW CONNECTION icon.)
3. Type in the name of your new internet provider: "NishaNet"
4. Click NEXT
5. Type in the phone number your modem will use to connect to your NishaNet internet account: "2880492"
6. Click NEXT, then click FINISH
7. A NishaNet icon will now be  displayed in the DIAL-UP NETWORKING.  Select NishaNet icon by clicking on it with your RIGHT mouse button.  A drop-down list will appear. Select PROPERTIES.
8. In the phone number section, make sure the "USE THE COUNTRY CODE AND AREA CODE" option is NOT checked.
9. Click the SERVER TYPE buttom.
10. The type of dial up server should be set to PPP: Windows 98
11. In ADVANCED OPTIONS:
• Checked -              Enabled Software Compression
• Not Checked -        Log into Network
• Not Checked -        Required encrypted password
• Checked -              TCP/IP
• Not Checked -        IPX
• Not Checked -        NetBEUI
12. Click TCP/IP settings.
13. Select SERVER ASSIGNED IP ADDRESS.
14. Make sure that "SPECIFY NAME SERVER ADDRESS" is selected.
15. Fill in the following DNS server IP addresses:
• Primary DNS server:            65.125.12.9
• Secondary DNS server:        205.171.3.65
16. "USE IP HEADER COMPRESSION" should be checked.
17. "USE DEFAULT GATEWAY ON REMOTE NETWORK" should be checked.
18. Click OK twice.
